The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the notification for Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. Online applications are invited from eligible graduate and postgraduate candidates for Paper-I (Secondary) and Paper-II (Higher Secondary).
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website secondary.biharboardonline.com or biharboardonline.com from 11th September 2025 to 19th September 2025.

Bihar STET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
For Paper-I (Secondary Classes 9–10)
- Graduate / Postgraduate in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed.
- OR Graduate/Postgraduate with 45% marks + B.Ed. as per NCTE norms.
- OR 4-year BA.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. integrated degree.
- For Physical Education, Music, Dance, Fine Arts – specific subject degree with 50% marks.
For Paper-II (Higher Secondary Classes 11–12)
- Postgraduate in relevant subject with 50% marks and B.Ed.
- OR Postgraduate with 45% marks + B.Ed. as per NCTE norms.
- OR Integrated B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. or 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. with 55% marks.
- Computer Science candidates do not require B.Ed.

Bihar STET 2025 Certificate

- Issued to all candidates who qualify Paper-I or Paper-II.
- The certificate will be mandatory for teacher recruitment in Bihar secondary and higher secondary schools.
Bihar STET 2025 Normalization Process
Since the exam will be held in multiple shifts (CBT mode), the Z-Score Normalization Method will be applied to ensure fairness.
👉 Example: A candidate scoring 76 raw marks may get 74.90 normalized marks. Passing will be decided on normalized score, not raw score.
