The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), Patna and the Education Department of Bihar are initiating the online application process for the Bihar Board 12th Pass Scholarship 2026. Under various state-sponsored and central schemes, students who successfully cleared their Intermediate exams in 2026 can apply online. Eligible candidates, specifically female students and those from reserved categories, will receive financial incentives through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligible candidates can complete their registrations on the Medhasoft portal by following the guide below:
- Visit the official website of Medhasoft: medhasoft.bihar.gov.in.
- Select the link titled "Students Click Here to Apply" under your respective intermediate scheme on the home page.
- Read all the instructions, accept the declarations by checking the check-boxes, and click "Continue".
- Provide your 12th Class Registration Number and Date of Birth.
- Enter your active mobile number to generate and verify an OTP.
- Fill out the remaining application form details (personal and banking info).
- Enter your Aadhaar Number and validate the details.
- Click on "Validate & Preview" to review the entered information carefully.
- Upload a scanned PDF copy of your 12th Class Marksheet and your Aadhaar Card.
- Submit your form by clicking "Register Here" and download the confirmation receipt.

2. Who is eligible to receive benefits under the Kanya Utthan Yojana?
All unmarried female students from any social category (General, OBC, EBC, SC, ST) who passed the 12th/Intermediate exam from the Bihar Board can apply for the ₹25,000 incentive.
3. Can male students apply for these scholarships?
While the Kanya Utthan and Medhavritti schemes are only for female students, male students from reserved categories can apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) or Central Sector Scholarship (CSS) based on merit and category eligibility.
4. Why is Aadhaar seeding required with my bank account?
The state government transfers the scholarship amount directly into bank accounts using Aadhaar-seeded DBT. If your bank account is not mapped under the NPCI database with your Aadhaar card, the transfer may fail.
