Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) invites online applications for recruitment to the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 01/2026. - Option A: Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI in listed trades (Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic).
- Option B: Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.
- Option C: Matriculation / SSLC plus 3 years Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering, OR a combination of different streams of these engineering disciplines from a recognized institution.
- Option D: A Degree in the Engineering disciplines listed above is also acceptable in place of a Diploma.

- First Stage CBT (CBT-1): Screening test covering Mathematics, Mental Ability, General Science, and General Awareness.
- Second Stage CBT (CBT-2): Core technical and academic assessment. Part A tests standard disciplines, while Part B tests relevant trade knowledge.
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Psycho-technical test designed to assess situational processing and vigilance.
- Document Verification (DV): Verifying the authenticity of credentials, certificates, and trade backgrounds.
- Medical Examination: Ensuring candidates meet the rigorous A-1 medical standard specified above.

- Select the 'Create an Account' tab if you are a new applicant, or enter your credentials to login.
- Fill out the registration details carefully. Verify your mobile number and email ID using OTP authentication.
- Complete the online application form with valid educational, personal, and trade details.

1. When is the last date to apply for RRB ALP 2026?
The last date to submit the online application form is 14 June 2026. The online registration fee can be paid until 16 June 2026.
