SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Assistant Audit Officer (Central Cadre): Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
- Assistant Audit Officer (State Cadre): Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute along with proficiency in the Regional/official language of the State at Matriculation level. Must hold a proficiency certificate.
- Assistant Accounts Officer (State Cadre): Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute along with proficiency in the Regional/official language of the State at Matriculation level. Must hold a proficiency certificate.
- Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level OR Bachelor's Degree with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor's degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or IT or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
- All Other Posts: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Note on Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation can also apply, provided they acquire the essential qualification on or before 01-08-2026.

Selection Process
- Tier-I Examination: Computer Based Examination consisting of objective multiple-choice questions. It is a qualifying exam for further stages.
- Tier-II Examination: Detailed Computer Based Examination testing Quantitative Abilities, English Language & Comprehension, Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning & General Intelligence, Computer Knowledge, and Data Entry Speed Test.
- Physical Standards & Skill Tests: Mandatory where specified for particular posts (e.g., Excise Inspector, CBI, sub-inspector positions).
