The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially declared the Computer Based Test (CBT-1) results, candidate score cards, and the respective category-wise cut-off marks for recruitment to the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP). This recruitment drive is being conducted against Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 01/2025 for 9,970 vacancies in Pay Level-2 across all participating Railway zones. To secure a position as an Assistant Loco Pilot, candidates must qualify in the following five recruitment stages:
- First Stage CBT (CBT 1): Qualifying test to shortlist candidates for CBT 2. [Result Released]
- Second Stage CBT (CBT 2): Consisting of Part A (General Merit) and Part B (Relevant Trade Subject).
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): Mandatory psychological test for qualifying candidates from CBT 2.
- Document Verification (DV): Checking academic, technical, and category credentials.
- Medical Examination: Rigid verification to satisfy A-1 medical specifications.
- Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized NCVT/SCVT institutions in trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Turner, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle/Diesel/Radio & TV/Electronics/Tractor), Wireman, etc.
- OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the specified trades.
- OR 3 years Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering disciplines.
- OR A regular Degree in the specified Engineering branches in lieu of a Diploma.
